I Own A House (lucky me)

While we’re on the ‘houses’ theme. ‘I Own A House’ by Mary Oliver.

I Own A House poem by Mary Oliver with a small red house

I couldn’t identify more strongly with a piece of writing right now.

I know that owning a house is a pretty big deal in the current financial climate. But as with all our things, collecting as they do, it can be easy to forget who owns whom.

May you feel rich and deeply satisfied today.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live, travel and create. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging and the sacred beauty of this ancient land. This place has and continues to hold deep spiritual, cultural, and creative significance to its First Nations peoples and many of us who are lucky enough to live on country. Thank you.
